You know when your kids no longer think you are cool

A couple of weeks ago, my step son Aidan and I were going on a lunch date. While Michael and Abby went on Daddy daughter date. As I was getting ready, Aidan said to me is that what you are wearing? OH man, I realized at that point, that I had lost any cool factor I might have had. I asked him what was wrong with my outfit. He told me that normally my house shoes I do not wear out in public. Well this day I did.

Temple Square Trip

This is our annual tradition to go to Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see the Chritmas lights and the different nativity scenes. Oh it was cold but oh so worth it. We had dinner at the Brigham Young's house. I believe it is called the Lion House. We are all getting excited for Christmas and for Santa to come. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Aidan photo moments

Ain't he cute. He is such a sweet thing.

Aidan's fall during Family Pictures

Aidan was being a ham during pictures. Well he was running and fell on some rocks. In these pictures he is holding his arm. Later he said it was his ankle. I cannot remember what he said that got us laughing. He was tough and was able to keep posing for the camera.

our only trick or treater

Yep this is our doggie. He was a horse with a cowboy on his back. As you can see he hates having anything on his head. Michael and I did not have the kids this Halloween. So we went out to avoid passing out candy. We went to see Rocky Horror Picture show. Wow kind of crazy. Michael has been a fan of the movie for over 15 years now. It was fun to see people dress up and get so into it.

Frightmares

We went to Frightmares with Grandma Rene-ReeNee as we call her. The kids were able to go on tons of rides. We even got to see dancers dressed up as Elvira, the Wizard of Oz witch, the Monster of Frankenstein dance to Halloween songs. Abby is in dance and really enjoyed that part. I was so impressed with Abby and Aidan they went on lots of scary roller coasters and never got scared. Myself on the other hand started to feel motion sick after just a couple of rides. It was so much fun to see the kids having a good time.

Ouchy

Michael tried to deep fry his foot. Yeh, he accidentally spilled hot oil on his foot. For 4 days did not have any problems with it but as you can see now it looks painful. He goes in every couple of days to have a nurse look at. I love wounds so I have to peak at it often.

Michael's other women

This was Michael's big day to see Hillary Clinton live. She was in Salt Lake City yesterday. It is kind of funny to think while we dated we actually had conversations about her. Though I may not be pro Hillary, I appreciate Michael's passion for her and the Democractic party. It was so amazing to be in a room where there was young, elderly, people from all different ethncities together. All hoping to that their voice would allow change for the future. Michael was so cute and I hope I do not emberrass him but he said that he got teary eyed when she came in the room.
